Jury duty

I had jury duty today. It was weird being away from the house all day and not having to worry about the dogs. I did think of them, but I didn't have to worry that they were stuck in their kennels all day. When it was time to go home I did think that I needed to rush home to let the dogs out. I was sad when I realized that they were not at home. And I've been a bit sad since then.

I created a page on Dogster for Moped and Skooter. It makes me feel good to keep remembering them. I know that they are no longer mine, but I still love them dearly.

Today while I was in court I thought about what the dogs might be doing at that time. Were they outside playing? Was Moped 'at work'? Were they laying in the sun of the beautiful day we had today? Skooter and Moped both love laying in the sun.

It still feels empty at home without them but I know I've done the right thing by them.
