Harley is eating dinner from his Busy Buddy Kibble Nibble. Well, that was quick. He's already done. I just put some more kibble in a Kong for him. Dinner needs to take a lot longer than it is at this point. It's taking longer than it was when he was eating out of a bowl though, so that's good. He's learning that he can jump up and put his front paws on the counters. This is really starting to get fun! ;) I'm going to have to really work on 'off' now too.
We worked with the mat tonight. He did really well. He's getting the hand signals for sit, down and paw. He's figuring out that he needs to go on the mat and lay down in order to get a treat. I'll practice it again with him later. We also need to work on leave it. I'm not doing so well teaching him that command and I really need to get him to do it. That will help with the resource guarding I believe.
Now he's laying down playing with his duck. I can't wait until his pheasant gets here. I'm sure he's smart enough to figure out the Tug-a-Jug but it's not easy at first. It will be fun seeing him figure it out.
As a side note, today is 9-11. Eight years ago today. Please never forget.
