Bayou has been barking her fool head off for the last couple of days. When she's in her kennel she barks. When she's not in her kennel she's either barking or biting. Ugh! I know it's just a puppy stage so it's not a real big deal but it's still not pleasant. We've been letting her go out into the yard and we just watch her from the door. She does just fine. At night or early in the morning she'll go out, do her business and then come right back in. It's nice to not have to take her out on the leash every time (especially when it's raining or snowing or really cold). Maria is here cleaning and Bayou will not stop barking. I just gave her a Kong with some cream cheese in it and she's quieted down since you can't eat and bark at the same time. LOL Maria notices how big Bayou is getting because she only sees her every 2 weeks. Maria says she's much bigger than 2 weeks ago. At puppy class on Sunday Bayou went on the scale by herself and it looked like she weighs about 18 pounds now. She's growing by leaps and bounds. No puppy class this week because Rebekah will be out of town. I'll need to get Bayou out to PetSmart and PetCo so she can meet some other dogs and people. I'm kind of disappointed with the class since there is only one other dog and it's a tiny one. I'll check with Rebekah and see if there are any plans for other dogs joining this class. I really need to get Bayou more socialized.
It's a beautiful day out today so Bayou is having fun going out on her own and running around the yard. That will help her use up some of the energy she has pent up. She is so energetic. She doesn't seem to mind the vacuum while Maria is cleaning the dining room and it stopped her from barking too. Yay! Hopefully it will last for more than 5 minutes. LOL
